ANNISTON, AL (June 16, 2025) – The 2025 USA Shooting National Championships concluded in thrilling fashion, with champions crowned in rifle, pistol, and Paralympic events at the prestigious competition held across Talladega and Anniston, Alabama. Hosted by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), the event saw over 200 athletes, ranging from seasoned Olympians to rising stars, battle it out for national titles in an array of disciplines.

Held at the Judith Legerski CMP Competition Center and the Talladega Marksmanship Park, the competition attracted some of the best marksmen in the country, all looking to add a coveted national title to their achievements. The event was not just a battle for supremacy in air rifle and sport pistol disciplines, but also a showcase of the growing prominence of Paralympic shooting.

Air Rifle and Women’s Sport Pistol: The Stars of the Show

The spotlight of the competition was undoubtedly the Air Rifle and Women’s Sport Pistol events, which saw some outstanding performances.

Cecelia Ossi took home the gold in Women’s 10m Air Rifle, edging out tough competition with a performance that displayed precision and remarkable consistency under pressure. In the Men’s 10m Air Rifle, Brandon Muske emerged victorious, solidifying his position as one of the country’s top air rifle shooters.

Meanwhile, in the Junior Women’s 10m Air Rifle competition, Marley Bowden demonstrated her promise, claiming the top prize. Griffin Lake, on the other hand, topped the Junior Men’s 10m Air Rifle event, marking his ascent in the ranks of junior shooting athletes.

In the Women’s Sport Pistol category, Saanvi Singh was crowned champion, her skillful shooting securing her place at the top. Rachel Kim, another promising young shooter, claimed victory in the Junior Women’s Sport Pistol, showing the future of American pistol shooting is in capable hands.

A special highlight was Taylor Farmer, who triumphed in the R3 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 event. His performance exemplified the high level of competition present at the event, further cementing his reputation as a rising star in the Paralympic shooting community.

Meanwhile, in the pistol events, Michael Tagliapietra proved his prowess in the P3 Mixed 25m Sport Pistol SH1 competition, securing another gold medal for his collection.

The event also witnessed emerging talent in the junior categories, with Reese Metzler taking top honors in the 25m Junior Men’s Sport Pistol and Jared Sonti winning the 25m Center Fire Pistol event.
