Middleton celebrated her first Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham just eight months after marrying Prince William in 2011. The new Princess of Wales is under pressure, so she wonders what to get for her special Christmas. in law.
Reminiscing about her first Christmas in the 2016 ITV documentary Our Queen at Ninety, Middleton said (via People): “I remember being at Sandringham for the first time on Christmas, and I asked the Queen what I would give her as a Christmas present.” I was thinking about what I should give her.
The princess ultimately chose her grandmother’s chutney recipe as a personal gift. “I thought, ‘Let’s do something for her,’ which could have been horribly wrong, but I decided to make my grandma’s recipe for chutney,” she explained. “I was a little worried, but the next day I noticed it was on the table,” convinced Elizabeth that she loved the gift.
“I think that simple act like this helped me so much, and she had done it so many times that I noticed it too,” Middleton reflected. I think this shows her thoughtfulness and how much she really cares about everyone. ”
