Prince Louis may not have made his official debut yet, but he’s following in his father’s royal footsteps in more ways than one. Continuing Prince William’s love of Aston Villa, the six-year-old donned the Premier League team’s jersey during a rather chaotic Royal Christmas at Sandringham.

According to Hello, the jersey is a hand-me-down from Prince George, proving that Kate is not the only member of the Welsh family to love upcycled fashion. Of course, the jersey is a nod to William’s long-standing love for the team, which he has supported since his school days.

“I fell in love with football at school a long time ago,” William told The Sun in 2023. “All my friends were Chelsea or Manchester United fans, so I didn’t really want to follow the trends.” Mir team wanted to create a team that would give them more emotional rollercoaster moments. . Aston Villa has always had a great history. ”

Prince Louis wore the jersey for a quick practice round with Kate, a brief respite from the busy holiday season at Sandringham. After making their Christmas concert debut at Westminster Abbey, the prince and his siblings were taken to the royal country retreat, where the festivities began in earnest.

As per tradition, the family attended King Charles’ pre-Christmas lunch before heading out for their annual Christmas Day walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church later that week. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Prince Louis didn’t wear a jersey at these events, instead donning a crisp suit and tie, once again resembling his father and brother.
