Aligned Embodiment With Kellie Winzinowich

How one Manitoba guide turned personal heartbreak into a practice of body-led transformation.

In 1999, Kellie Winzinowich received a molar pregnancy diagnosis which forced her to stop, listen, and face a truth that had been building beneath years of training, studying, working, and trying to hold everything together. A woman accustomed to discipline as an athlete and coach, as a young mother, beneath that discipline was strain. Her nervous system felt overloaded, her relationships were affected, and her sense of purpose had begun to blur. That moment did not give her all the answers, but it gave her a question that would shape the next three decades: What if the body was not the obstacle, but the doorway?

Aligned Embodiment Begins With The Body

Before Aligned Embodiment became a professional practice, Kellie was already a teacher of movement. Her love for coaching began after she retired as an athlete, and she went on to coach gymnastics for more than 35 years. She also became a Learning Facilitator and Coach Evaluator for the National Coaching Certification Program, as well as a university instructor in human movement at the University of Manitoba. Those roles trained her eye to see more than technique. She learned to notice hesitation, confidence, posture, breath, focus, and the human story behind performance.

Today, that question lives at the center of Aligned Embodiment, the practice Kellie Winzinowich created after more than 25 years of study across the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic dimensions of human experience. As a certified hypnotherapist and Aligned Embodiment coach, she helps clients explore the patterns, fears, habits, and internal messages that can shape how they move through life. Her work does not reduce transformation to a single method. Instead, it invites people to listen more closely to what their bodies, emotions, and inner narratives have been trying to communicate.

Aligned Embodiment is a process of learning to recognize and engage with the body as a source of insight. For Kellie, the phrase is not abstract. It was earned through lived experience, long practice, and the slow rebuilding of self-trust. She has weathered divorce, raised four children, witnessed addiction and mental illness among loved ones, and rebuilt her life with a deeper understanding of resilience. Over time, her own search for emotional and physical self-regulation became the foundation for the guidance she now offers others.

The Turning Point Inside Aligned Embodiment

For years, Kellie understood the body through athletics and coaching, yet she sensed there was another layer beneath form and function. That missing piece arrived through internal arts, including Qigong and Baguazhang. Her current partner and husband, a Qigong, Baguazhang, and Shaolin Qi Healing Master, introduced her to practices that bridged physical discipline with inner awareness. Through that training, she began to experience what would become a core belief of her work: there is no true separation between body and spirit.

This insight changed the scope of her path. Kellie deepened her study of shadow work, meditation, energy awareness, ego work, emotional regulation, and self-mastery. She also became an award-winning and multi-published author and voice actor in 2012, a chapter that broadened her understanding of expression, voice, and identity. Each chapter added another layer to her work. Coaching gave her structure. Motherhood gave her humility. Loss and change gave her compassion. Internal arts gave her integration. Hypnotherapy gave her tools for entering the subconscious patterns that often sit beneath behavior.

At Aligned Embodiment, Kellie brings those strands together through personalized sessions that may include hypnotherapy, life coaching, spiritual coaching, visualization, reflective inquiry, and body-based awareness. Her clients come to her during periods of transition, stress, habit change, spiritual questioning, or a desire to feel more connected to themselves. The work is built around presence rather than pressure. It does not promise instant results or one-size-fits-all outcomes. Instead, it supports a deeper process of noticing, naming, and embodying change in ways that feel aligned with the individual.

That distinction matters. In an industry crowded with quick fixes, Aligned Embodiment stands apart because Kellie does not treat the body as a problem to be controlled. She treats it as a messenger. Her gift is helping people visualize, feel, and practice new internal patterns so that change is not merely intellectual. It becomes experiential. Clients are encouraged to explore the physical sensations, emotional patterns, and inner beliefs that may influence their choices. As Kellie describes it, transformation begins when people learn to tune into their unique frequency and respond with awareness.

Aligned Embodiment As A Practice For Self-Mastery

Kellie and her husband now extend this work through the Academy of Embodiment Arts, where they teach workshops and classes in physical disciplines, internal alchemy, and self-mastery. Their shared goal is to offer practical tools that help people cultivate steadiness across the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life. This approach reflects the heart of Aligned Embodiment. It is not about escaping the body or bypassing discomfort. It is about learning how to inhabit life with greater honesty, strength, and choice.

Their podcast, Soul Discovery, carries that conversation into a wider space. Through discussions on internal alchemy, transformation, and change, Kellie and her husband invite listeners to consider how growth happens beneath the surface. The podcast is a natural extension of their teaching style: curious, grounded, and willing to explore the unseen without losing respect for the practical. For audiences who are beginning their own inner work, it offers a way to hear the language, stories, and questions that shape the path of embodiment.

The most compelling part of Kellie Winzinowich’s story is not that she avoided difficulty - it is that she chose to listen to what difficulty revealed. The diagnosis in 1999 became a threshold. The years that followed became an apprenticeship in living. From gymnastics floors to university classrooms, from personal upheaval to spiritual practice, from motherhood to mentoring, Kellie built a body of work anchored in one conviction: transformation becomes more sustainable when people learn to meet themselves from the inside out.

For those who are seeking a more grounded relationship with their bodies, their emotions, and their inner direction, Aligned Embodiment offers a thoughtful place to begin.
