In a world where modern families are rethinking how children learn, grow, and thrive, Dr. Nadia De León has emerged as a trusted voice for mothers and caregivers seeking more human-centered approaches to education and well-being. As a parenting coach and writer, she explores worldschooling, experiential learning, psychoneuroimmunology, and holistic well-being helping families move beyond traditional educational models toward more connected, embodied ways of learning. As the founder of Praxia Educational Consultants and its 2024 spin-off, Kresko, Dr. De León is transforming education and human development through innovative, research-driven approaches, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of local contexts.
A Journey Rooted in Education and Human Development
Dr. De León’s journey into educational reform and child development is a unique one. As a cultural scientist with a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, her career spans educational consulting, research, leadership, and direct work with children and families. As a wellbeing expert, she is widely recognized for her integrated health approach grounded in psychoneuroimmunology, examining how families and children thrive when our habits, diet, and lifestyle take care of our heart-minds and bodies, minimizing stress and inflammatory responses. When supporting caretakers, her approach leverages her experiences with worldschooling, experiential learning, and responsive parenting, facilities learning that honors emotional safety, curiosity, and a growth mindset. As an experienced yoga and meditation instructor, her spiritual journey embeds her work with a focus on holistic well-being and socioemotional development.
Her mission is rooted in the belief that education is not solely about imparting knowledge; it is about fostering human development in all its forms. This belief led to the creation of Praxia Group, a firm that integrates expertise in curriculum design, teacher training, policy reform, and community engagement, all focused on creating educational ecosystems that empower individuals and families to thrive.
Bridging Research and Practice
Founded in Panama in 2016, Praxia Educational Consultants was created to bridge the gap between research-driven educational practices and the real-world needs of institutions, from schools to universities, museums, and NGOs. Dr. De León assembled a team of consultants with academic backgrounds from globally respected institutions, including Harvard University and Stanford, to address pressing educational challenges in Latin America.
At its core, Praxia’s mission is to elevate education across various sectors through methodologies like experiential learning, STEAM education, and culturally relevant curriculum design. These same principles guide Dr. De León’s work with parents, where learning is viewed as relational, experiential, and deeply connected to emotional and physical well-being.
The Birth of Kresko
In 2024, Dr. De León expanded her vision with the launch of Kresko, an integrated Family and Child Development Services Center. Kresko reflects her hands-on work as a parenting coach, supporting caregivers through the emotional, cognitive, and physiological dimensions of child development. The center offers parenting coaching, psychological support, speech and occupational therapy, arts and early childhood interventions, and psychoneuroimmunology.
“We’re helping families with educational, developmental and emotionally challenges while also supporting their overall well-being,” says Dr. De León. “When we care for nervous systems, relationships, and learning environments together, children and caregivers both flourish.”
What Sets Praxia Apart
Praxia stands out for its dual focus: system-level transformation and direct family support. Dr. De León’s expertise in wellbeing, gender, diversity, and intercultural competence bridges science, caregiving, and lived experience especially for mothers navigating complex educational and emotional landscapes.
